OMCC Tours
In 2018 the club decided to offer more than just ARD’s and track days. The trips are booked according to numbers going to ensure all people are in the same accommodation. Routes are planned for the trip, but these are purely voluntary – if you want to cut your own detail during the day and just use the accommodation, then that is not a problem.
2019 saw the first organised OMCC trip. This was to the Pyrenees via Plymouth to Santander ferry. The majority of the trip was based from Ainsa in Spain, this gave us a good reach across some amazing mountain roads (like being on track…. Only cheaper). This trip was 10 days (bearing in mind the ferry crossing is 24hrs) Eight club members went on this trip.
2020 trip was to Scotland including a trip across to the Orkneys for a day. Unfortunately, COVID put a stop to this happening, hopefully it will be resurrected in 2021 if this vaccine works!
Once trips are planned, they will be announced by email to all members and the booking will go live via the website. Members can secure their space via booking a space similar to booking an ARD or track day. Booking is nonrefundable due to the booking of other hotels/ferries etc. After initial booking via the website, all other funds will be via the trip organiser. This enables the organiser full control of bookings and helps the club to stay under the tax threshold.
We look forward to seeing you on a trip in the future.
