Right, here is the slightly tweaked plan.

The meeting point on the Saturday is going to be the Red Kite Cafe, which is less than a mile from the infamous BP garage in Ponterwyd. Clive is going to arrange that we can leave vehicles there all day - the dues for which is having breakfast at the cafe before we head out.
(We think the BP garage has a jet-wash, for use on the return trip.)

So, my plan is to stay at the same B&B in Rhyader as last time, then saunter down in the van to the cafe at 0800hrs for breakfast and ready for the off at 0900hrs ish.

Hi Ian,
Unfortunately I'm going to have to cancel mine and Nathan's places for October the 14th, my daughter is going travelling for 12 months and this clashes with her arranging a leaving party.
Sorry if this lets you down but hopefully enough notice to find replacements.
Regards
Mike

Well done to all those who made the trek to Wales for this event. Some of the most arduous fun I've had in years!
Can't wait for the next one
